I prefer a very hands-on approach with teaching my students. We discuss areas of interest and concern prior to your mentoring session. I am an open book and will answer any and all questions. Newborn photography is my passion and my goal is to help you learn how to achieve beautiful photographs while doing so safely and with babies comfort in mind. All of my students will receive a workbook to take home with them. The workbook will cover workflow, tips for achieving various poses, what lighting I currently use, parent and sibling posing and several discount codes from my favorite vendors. Each student will also receive a gift bag at the completion of their mentoring weekend with some goodies from my favorite vendors and a few fun items from me. Students will also be added to a secret group so that I can continue to help and support you.
Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. A list of nearby hotels can be provided upon request. Columbus, GA has it’s own airport, however, most choose to use the Atlanta airport.
All mentoring sessions will take place in Harris County, Georgia in my studio. I am not currently traveling for workshops and I will not mentor more than 2 students at a time and, I feel strongly that, this is in the best interest of my students and their learning experience. Mentoring is open to those who have a good understanding of manual mode. A DSLR camera and either a 50mm, 35mm or 24-70mm lens is required. All participants must provide proof of business insurance upon scheduling a mentoring session.
